"Supporting small business throughout the Kansas City region is a priority, and the KC Chamber is excited about recognizing our 2025 Small Business Superstars,” said Vicky Kulikov, the KC Chamber’s Small Business Director. "Faced with questions about economic growth and stability as well as access to a reliable workforce, these businesses continue to encounter uncertainty. However, they’re persevering, continuing to excel in serving their customers and the community. That’s why they’re Superstars, and why it is such an honor to celebrate their achievements.”

Now in its fifth year, the Small Business Superstars program celebrates Kansas City area companies that contribute to the economic vitality of the region. In addition to the visibility this recognition provides, Superstars receive access to exclusive content, networking opportunities, marketing assets, and more.

About Keiko Furoshiki

Keiko Furoshiki is a Kansas City-based business dedicated to bringing the Japanese art of furoshiki to modern, everyday life. Founded with a mission to promote sustainable living and reduce waste, we offer beautifully designed reusable fabric wraps inspired by traditional Japanese patterns and contemporary aesthetics. Our furoshiki wraps serve as eco-friendly alternatives to disposable wrapping paper, as well as versatile accessories for fashion, home decor, and practical carrying solutions.

Our story began when Andrea had the idea for Keiko Furoshiki and recruited her husband Tyler and her mother-in-law Keiko Kira, a talented artist and local art teacher, to help bring the brand to life. Together, they have built a business that blends artistry, sustainability, and cultural heritage, making furoshiki accessible and practical for modern consumers. Through workshops, events, and collaborations, we continue to share the beauty and functionality of furoshiki with a wider audience.

At Keiko Furoshiki, our mission is to encourage mindful consumption and inspire people to celebrate special moments in an environmentally responsible way. We believe that small, thoughtful choices—like choosing reusable wrapping—can have a big impact on the world. Thank you, Kansas City, for embracing our vision and helping us spread the joy of furoshiki!
