We are thrilled to announce that Keiko Furoshiki will be participating in this year's Natsu Matsuri KC, happening on Saturday, August 31, from 4-8 PM at 12th Street Post at 1501 West 12th Street in Kansas City, MO. This vibrant summer festival, inspired by traditional Japanese celebrations, is the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in Japanese culture, support local businesses, and enjoy a fun-filled evening with family and friends.

What to Expect at Natsu Matsuri KC

Natsu Matsuri (夏祭り), meaning "summer festival" in Japanese, is a cherished tradition that brings communities together to celebrate Japanese culture and customs. This Kansas City version will be no different! The festival will feature a wide array of Japanese-owned and related businesses, artists, and organizations. From traditional games like water balloon fishing (水ヨーヨー釣り) and goldfish scooping (金魚すくい) to mouth-watering food vendors and unique local crafts, there’s something for everyone.

At the heart of it all will be the incredible Taiko drum performance by Three Trails Taiko, which is sure to leave you in awe.
